
Shreveport Police Arrest Five in Separate Gun and Drug Cases
The Shreveport Police Department has been sweeping the streets for people carrying guns who should not have guns at all.
SPD reports several recent arrests involving guns and drugs:
· Amber Wilber was arrested on September 8, 2025, for possession of multiple types of illegal drugs and a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance (CDS).
· Derrick Caldwell was arrested on September 11, 2025, for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Caldwell has prior convictions, including domestic abuse by strangulation, narcotics violations, IPST offense, rape, and other charges.
· Jemario James was arrested on September 13, 2025, for possession of narcotics and a firearm. James is a convicted felon with prior convictions for narcotics violations, battery on a law enforcement officer, and a previous felon-in-possession firearm charge.
· Centella Mckinney was arrested on September 13, 2025, for aggravated assault with a firearm. Mckinney also has a prior conviction from 2008 for discharging a firearm within city limits.
· Ishmael Brown was arrested on September 14, 2025, for aggravated assault with a firearm and domestic abuse with child endangerment after allegedly producing a gun during a domestic incident.
