Residents get a chance to take a look at the Shreveport Dog Park plans at a meeting next week.

The public meeting is set for 5PM Wednesday, September 30, under the blue pavilion at the Stoner Boat Launch. Dogs are welcome, but please bring them on leashes.

Public viewing of the Dog Park plan is from 5-6:30PM, with an introduction to the plan at 5:30PM.

The Shreveport Dog Park will be a 5-acre park along the Red River and Clyde Fant Parkway. SPAR says it will be a compliment to the parkway, helping to further beautify the city, the parkway and the riverfront.

Funding for the facility comes from the Red River Waterway Commission, with extra funds raised by the Shreveport Dog Park Alliance.
