The historic Shreveport Country Club is back in the news today. This time, Shreveport police caught three people on the property.

This latest incident happened on January 15, when officers were called to the complex on a possible burglary call.

What Prompted the Call to Shreveport Police

The property manager told officers a chain and a lock securing the property had been cut. The manager said it looked like a recent incident since the lock had just been replaced.

Shreveport brought in K-9 units to do a complete search of the complex. During that search K-9 Edy and his handler found two women hiding on the property. They have been identified as Hillary Morrow and Kristina Ivey.

What Were the Suspects Allegedly Trying to Steal

Officers believe the women were trying to steal copper from the facility. Another suspect, David Harmon was also found on the property and he was also arrested. Police are not sure how long the suspects had been on the property.

What Happened During the Arrests

Ivey suffered injuries when she was caught by the K-9. She was treated for that injury. After a full records check, officers found Morrow and Ivey had outstanding warrants. Morrow was allegedly found to have a gun on her at the time of the arrest.

What Charges Do the Suspects Face

Kristina Ivey and David Harmon face a simple burglary charge while Hillary Morrow is charged with aggravated burglary.

What Is Current Status of Shreveport Country Club

Back in the fall, the clubhouse at the Shreveport Country Club burned to the ground. It was a total loss. The non profit Winner's Circle Group run by the Shreveport Community Church owned the property at the time. Pastor Denny Duron told KEEL News at the time there was no insurance on the property. The Winner's Circle Group had to step up to get the property cleaned up.

On Friday, Pastor Duron told KEEL News he still owns the property but has been "in an extended due diligence period with a potential buyer."

The country club building had been part of the neighborhood for more than 115 years. Winner’s Circle International, took over ownership of the property in 2008
