How to Voice Your Concerns About Shreveport Needs
SHREVEPORT, LA – Only a few more meetings are left to gather all the details about the improvements needed in Shreveport. The Capital Improvements Committee is meeting on Thursday, September 28 at 5:00 p.m. in the Mayor’s Conference Room on the second floor of Government Plaza on Travis Street.
This meeting is open to the public.
Fire Chief Clarence Reese Jr. and Police Chief Wayne Smith will present the needs of their departments.
Also, Liz Swaine with the Downtown Development Authority will present a package of improvements her Board would like to see in the downtown district.
What Happens Next?
After this weekend, this study committee will then be hosting meetings in the community to hear from the public about the wish lists presented from the city department heads. The panel will then try to prioritize the list before making a recommendation to the Mayor and the City Council.

Additional meetings are being planned for October 10 and 12. Details will be released in the next few days.
