
Shreveport Man Arrested With a Gun Following Assault
On Sunday, just after 2am Shreveport Police Department were called out to a downtown nightclub on Marshall Street to reports of an assault.
When Police showed up they were able to find 39-year-old Jason Braziel. While they were investigating they found a gun on Braziel. Police tried detaining him, but Braziel resisted and tried to get away from Officers, but was arrested.
Police ran his name through the computer and found out he had a warrant out on a 2023 armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a felon, and a parole violation.
Braziel was arrested on those charges on top of the following:
· Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
· Resisting an Officer
· Negligent Carrying of a Firearm
· Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
From SPD:
Braziel has an extensive criminal history, including prior felony convictions—one of which stems from a 2021 home invasion case.
