Shreveport Police Arrest Two for Sex Crimes Against Children

Shreveport Police’s Sex Crimes Unit has made arrests in two separate investigations involving crimes against juveniles.

David Colon

SPD

Earlier this month, detectives made contact with Colon. Colon was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant charging him with:

· One Count of Sexual Battery of a Child Under the Age of 13

· One Count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile

Colon was arrested and booked into the Shreveport City Jail. This investigation has been cleared by arrest.

Demarzia T. Kelly

Back in March, SPD Detectives started an investigation involving allegations of indecent behavior with a juvenile. During the investigation, the victim told Police details of the incident and participated in a forensic interview.

As part of the investigation, detectives made contact with Kelly.

Further investigation revealed Kelly had a prior sex crime conviction. Based on the evidence, Kelly was arrested and charged with:

· One Count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile

Kelly was taken to the Shreveport City Jail for booking. Detectives note that additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
