On Tuesday (2/4/25), Shreveport Police officers were called to the 6300 block of North Inwood Road to a reported domestic incident. Dispatch advised that the victim had gone to a neighbor's house for safety.

Officers spoke with the victim, who told police that her husband, Chad Harkness, had come home intoxicated and was extremely aggressive. The victim stated that during the altercation, which occurred in the presence of their child, Chad Harkness hit her in the face while she was on the phone. Harkness retreated to the master bedroom, where he called out her name while loading a shotgun. Fearing for her life and the safety of her child, the victim fled to a neighbor's house.

Officers entered the residence, located Chad Harkness, and placed him under arrest without incident. He has been charged with the following:

· One count of Domestic Abuse with Child Endangerment

· One count of Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault
