In the wake of LSU's convincing win over Oklahoma in the FBS Championship semifinal game against Oklahoma, 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright wonders why, in the wake of their success, Tigers Coach Ed Orgeron is absent from the list of college coaches being considered for head coaching jobs in the National Football League.

A recent article on the website nfl.com listed the top college coaches considered the most qualified to head an NFL franchise, and Orgeron's name was conspicuous in its absence. Heading that list, by the way, are coaches from a number of schools that, under Coach O's Leadership, were handily beaten by the Tigers during the 2019 campaign. Those included Alabama's Nick Saban, Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher and, perhaps in the ultimate irony, Oklahoma's Lincoln Riley, whose Sooners were toppled by the Tigers, 63-28, just days ago.
