Shots Fired Incident Forces Local School to Shelter in Place
A bit of a scare at Caddo Magnet High School this morning, but it turned out to be nothing big.
Shreveport police say they got a report of shots fired just after 10 a.m. on Roosevelt Avenue. Caddo Schools spokeswoman Mary Nash-Wood says police advised school officials to shelter in place for a brief period while officers investigated the report.
Nash-Wood says the shelter in place lasted about 30 minutes, and law enforcement quickly determined the situation was not a threat to the school.
The investigation into the shots fired incident continues.
