[UPDATE] Shooting at Bossier City Apartment Complex Leaves One Man Dead, Another in Jail
[UPDATE] The victim in last night's shooting has been identified as 37-year-old Danny Earl Litton Jr., of Shreveport. Detectives continue to investigate.
[ORIGINAL STORY] Bossier City police are investigating a fatal overnight shooting.
Officers were called out to the Pepper Point Mobile Home Park in the 6000 block of East Texas Street to a report of a shooting there. When they arrived, they found the victim, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body, lying in the street in front of the trailer. He was taken to University Health in Shreveport, where he was pronounced dead. His name is being withheld pending notification of family members.
A little over an hour later, the gunman turned himself in to police at BCPD headquarters. He's identified as 27-year-old Christopher Brandon Phillips of Bossier. He's been booked into the Bossier City Jail on a second-degree murder charge.
