Candidates for Louisiana State Senate District 36, incumbent Republican Ryan Gatti, GOP challenger Robert Mills and Democrat political newcomer Mattie Preston, talk with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the campaign and their ideas for improving the state and their district.

In Part 1, the candidates introduce themselves and run down their qualifications for office. In part 2, the three explain their political philosophies, with Mills challenging the conservative nbona fides of incumbent Gatti. Preston adds that she doesn't think of politics in terms of labels, but in terms of "helping people."

Gatti, Mills and Preston then answer a series of "rapid-fire" questions, including their support - or lack of - for Governor John Bel Edwards, whether they'd support a state gas tax increase and an way to lower insurance rates.
