United States Senator Bill Cassidy talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about comments made by Virginia Governor Ralph Northam seemingly endorsing the killing of babies born alive after "botched" third trimester abortion procedures.

The senior Senator expresses shock and dismay, not only at Northam's statements, but at recent legislation - passed in New York state and introduced in Virginia - that would legalize abortion up until the moment of birth.

Details on the legislation from foxnews.com:

"Democratic Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam came under fire Wednesday after he waded into the fight over a controversial abortion bill hat one sponsor said could allow women to terminate a pregnancy up until the moment before birth -- with critics saying Northam indicated a child could be killed after birth: 'So in this particular example if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen, the infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.'"
