A second suspect has been arrested for a July home invasion in Bossier City.

Violent Crimes detectives say 30-year-old Kenneth Wayne Johnson is believed to have broken into a residence at Cloverdale Apartments in the 2200 block of Shed Road, and trying to rob a man and woman there. The couple's young child was inside at the time.

The other suspect in the case, 21-year-old Verndell Winn, was arrested on July 23rd, thanks in part to a Bossier Crime Stoppers tip. Detectives say Winn hit the mail victim in the head with one of his weapons, then both men took off without taking anything.

Johnson is accused of assisting Winn by providing him a vehicle to commit the crime. He's now at the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility. His bond is set at $45,000.
