Saints WR Marques Colston Takes Salary Cut To Stay In New Orleans
Saints veteran wide receiver Marques Colston will stay with the for the 2015 season. The team's all-time leading receiver has agreed to restructure his contract, that according to nola.com.
Though unconfirmed, the agreement most likely reduces Colston's salary cap figure for the coming season by about $3 million. His base salary for 2015 was $6.9 million.
The Colston deal continues the Saints moves to come in line with the restrictions of the NFL's salary cap. The team must reduce payroll for the upcoming season by around $16 million.
