remake of the 1976 horror film "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" is being shot through June 22 in Shreveport and features some familiar names and faces.

One of the more well-known is Gary Cole, who you might remember from his roles as the laid-back boss in "Office Space" and Reese Bobby, the alcoholic father who abandons young Ricky Bobby in NASCAR comedy "Talladega Nights."

It also stars British actress Veronica Cartwright of "Alien" fame, and actor/director Joshua Leonard of "The Blair Witch Project."

Theater actress Addison Timlin was most recently added to the roster. We'll be catching up with local film office director Arlena Acree later this week to get updates on these and other projects that could be headed our way soon.

Another film in production here in Hollywood South is "Dakota's Summer," which is about a girls' trick horse-riding group. It stars Haley Ramm, Emily Betts Rickards, Jade Pettyjohn, Keith Carradine and Glynn Turman. That's expected to wrap up on June 29.
