6 Arrested in Shreveport for DWI within Just a Few Hours
Shreveport police have been busy rounding up drunk drivers over the weekend. In fact, six people were arrested for driving under the influence in just a few hours.
All of these arrests happened early Sunday morning.
The 1st Arrest
At about 2am Sunday morning, 22-year-old Kennedi Marshall was found sleeping behind the wheel of her car in the 1200 block of South Pointe Drive. She was arrested and charged with one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
The 2nd Arrest
At about 2:15am 34-year-old Alston Brooks was reportedly found asleep behind the wheel of a car which was parked on the curb of Elvis Presley Boulevard and Texas Street. He was arrested and charged with one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated,
The 3rd Arrest
Just 4 minutes later at 2:19 am, 29-year-old Javeus Johnson was pulled over for a traffic stop on Market Street in downtown Shreveport. Officers approaching him discovered he appeared to be intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
The 4th Arrest
At about 2:41 am Sunday morning, 52-year-old Kenneth Jones was arrested after officers responded to a call of an alarm going off in the 1300 block of Jewella Avenue. Arriving officers found a car involved in a crash and the airbags had gone off. Jones was reportedly intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
The 5th Arrest
52-year old Charles Warren was arrested at 3:31 am Sunday morning. Officers were called to an accident in the 6000 block of Bert Kouns and as the officers approached Warren he was reportedly intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
The 6th Arrest
Right before 4:30 Sunday morning, officers contacted 27-year-old Leavern Johnson during a traffic stop on I-49. She appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested and charged with one count of operating vehicle while intoxicated.
