If it came down to the number of churches, lots of crawfish or a good weather, folks in Shreveport could be described as happy. But according to the personal finance website, WalletHub, the metrics are a great deal different and that makes this a pretty unhappy place.

According to the latest WalletHub survey, 2020s Happiest Cities in America, Shreveport ranks 165 out of 182 measured cities, just behind Baton Rouge at 163 and New Orleans at 158.

And why do we rank so low? Here's more from wallethub.com:

"In order to determine where people in America are most content with their lives, WalletHub compared more than 180 of the largest U.S. cities across 30 key indicators of happiness. The data set ranges from depression rate to income-growth rate to average leisure time spent per day."

And, given metrics such as emotional well being and income, what are the happiest cities in the USA?
