Police Searching For Suspect In Sunday Shooting
A shooting in the early hours of Sunday the 19th has police searching for a suspect.
Cpl. Marcus Hines released this statement about the incident:
"Shreveport Police detectives are seeking a suspect in a shooting which left a local man critically injured overnight.
Shortly after 1:00 a.m. on April 19, 2020, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a shooting in the 2900 block of Frostwood Drive. Upon the arrival of officers, they located the victim, 23 year old Treyvion Johnson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Johnson was taken by ambulance to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport hospital for injuries considered life-threatening.
Based on preliminary findings gathered at the scene of the crime, it is believed Johnson was speaking with another male at a residence in the 2900 block of Frostwood Drive when the unidentified man opened fire, striking Johnson multiple times. The man reportedly fled the scene immediately after the shooting and remains outstanding. Currently, authorities are working to identify and apprehend the suspect involved in the matter.
