The Shreveport Police Department is cracking down on those who sell alcohol to minors. As the school year winds down, agents with the department's Office of Special Investigations will be conducting checks at area businesses that sell alcohol -- to ensure those establishments are complying with alcoholic beverage sales ordinances. Over the next several weeks, they'll primarily be focusing on sales to underaged people, but will also be looking for any violation of city ordinance or state law regarding alcohol sales.
