Police Investigating Weekend Home Invasion That Left Alleged Intruder Dead

Was a weekend shooting in west Shreveport following a home invasion justified? That's what police are trying to determine.

Residents at a home in the 3800 block of Murvon Street report that someone dressed in all-dark clothing, with his face covered and armed with two handguns, forced his way inside the house. Then, the intruder demanded money.

One of the homeowners saw what was happening and fired several shots at the intruder, hitting 24-year-old Malcolm Fuller. He was taken to LSU Health Shreveport, where he later died.

Police are still investigating. They say there's still much to be done in efforts to gather additional details surrounding the shooting, and the possibility of charges in the incident.
