Political analyst John Settle talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright about the final days of the Shreveport mayor's race, including the strategies of both candidates in the campaign's home stretch.

Settle starts with the latest information on funds raised by the two. "As of 21 November," says Settle, "Perkins has $163,700 on hand. The Mayor has $58,700. Money is definitely related to momentum. Money is related to votes."

Settle then agrees with other local pundits who say that they doubt that the campaign will get rough-and-tumble in its final days."It's not (Tyler's) persona," he says, "And it hasn't been Adrian's persona, if you follow the race." Settles also opines that any negative campaigning by either Tyler or Perkins "could backfire" and cost that candidate valuable votes.
