If you're looking for events to help you get in the Christmas spirit, there are tons of events throughout Shreveport/Bossier this weekend to do just that!
The Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival is Saturday from 3:30 to 7pm at Earl G. Williamson Park in Oil City and this is their 24th year. They’ll have all kinds of arts and craft vendors on site, activities for the kids, lots of food and Santa will be there ready to pose for pictures!
The Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet is bringing The Nutcracker to life this weekend at The Strand Theatre with a cast of over 100 local dancers and guests from The National Ballet of Canada. Showtime is 6:30pm Saturday and 3pm Sunday and tickets range from $25-45.
The Mudbugs are in town playing Friday and Saturday night at 7:11pm taking on the Amarillo Bulls at George’s Pond at Hirsch Coliseum and they're saluting all area first responders and their families this weekend with 'Guns and Hoses.'
Margaritaville’s 4th Annual Paws in Paradise is this Sunday inside their Paradise Theater from 2-5pm. There will be a ton of pet oriented vendors as well as area rescues and shelters with onsite adoptions. Since the beginning of this event, 150 pets have been successfully adopted and over $45,000 has been raised in support of local shelters and rescues!
Tinsel is going on Friday from 5-9pm and it’s all about shopping local up and down the Line Avenue Shopping District. Tickets are $30 and you’ll be chauffeured to multiple shops along Line Avenue in a private after hours shopping environment with more than 30 stores participating before you’re whisked to the Tinsel after party!
