    42nd Annual Sickle Cell Softball Tournament

    This softball tournament truly is the 'granddaddy of them all!' Teams come from all over to compete and festivities start Friday at Cargill Park with the Sickle Cell Disease Home Run Derby at 6 pm. The tourney runs through Sunday between both Cargill and Southern Hills Parks and benefits the Northwest Louisiana Chapter of Sickle Cell Disease Association of America. You probably want to keep your eye on the weather for both Saturday and Sunday and watch for updates on their Facebook event page.

    The Commodores

    In the interest of full disclosure, no, Lionel Richie won't be with them, but it's still THE COMMODORES! Does it get any more classic than Brick House? I think not! See The Commodores Saturday at 8 pm at Margaritaville Resort Casino's Paradise Theater. Tickets start at $45 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster or at the Margaritaville Retail Store.

    Pat Green

    The man that embodies the title of Texas Country is coming to The Stage at Silver Friday night at that's Pat Green! Doors open at 7 pm, with the show starting at 8 pm for this 21+ event. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 the day of the show but beware, there's only a handful left available!

    Big Summer Musical: Momma Mia!

    If you're a fan of ABBA, you're going to love the stage presentation of the musical Momma Mia! at the Shreveport Little Theater! Don't miss out on your shot at seeing this one live and in person instead of on your TV screen. Performances are scheduled for July 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 at 7:30 pm - July 14, 21 and 28 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $30.
