
Teen Victim Identified in North Market Street Shooting
A tragic incident early Sunday, July 27, 2025, on North Market Street, claimed the life of a teenaged girl. The Caddo Parish Coroner's office has identified the victim as 16-year-old Hailey McDonald. She was inside a convenience store in the 1700 block of North Market Street when she was fatally struck by gunfire.
Details of the Incident
Emergency services, including fire medics, transported McDonald to Ochsner LSU Health hospital. Despite resuscitation efforts by emergency personel, she was pronounced dead at 1:48 a.m. This recent homicide marks the 22nd confirmed homicide in Shreveport for 2025, contributing to a total of 28 homicides in Caddo Parish to date.
