Noooo! Say it isn't so! We're going to have to make it through an entire 'Dancing with the Stars' season without Derek OR Julianne?

According to a story on CNN's website, Derek Hough is taking a break after last season's win to star in a stage version of the classic film 'Singin' in the Rain' on Broadway.

I don't know about you, but things certainly won't be the same without the 'winning-est' pro ever to grace the ballroom. He's always been my favorite, not just because of his charm and good looks (okay...really REALLY good looks!), but because of his amazing coreography (award-winning, remember?) and positive attitude. He's been a joy to watch, and I'm seriously going to miss his smiling face on my television screen.

This news comes after Derek's sister Julianne, who's been a judge the last couple of seasons, won't be returning to the show when Season 22 kicks off March 21. We're hearing she has left on good terms, though, and promises it won't be the last time we'll see her in the ballroom.

Good news for many of us Dancing fans, though, is that head judge Len Goodman will be back this season, along with judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. Sure, Len is a bit of a grump, but he made the show so much more entertaining. I never thought I'd say this, but I missed him being there.

Another interesting tidbit about the upcoming season is that Jodie Sweetin, who people my age all remember as the middle daughter from the TV series 'Full House,' will be competing this time around. She announced the news on Instagram after appearing on 'Good Morning America.'

Despite the departure of my favorite sibling duo, I'm still pretty excited to see who will be competing this season. My Tivo is already set to record it! The official cast announcement will be made March 8 on GMA.
