New Horizons Schedules Inaugural Run Walk & Roll

New Horizons Independent Living Center is bringing a new race to Shreveport.

It's called the Run Walk & Roll, featuring a 5K, 10K and Fun Run. It's being held to help the facility continue its mission of enabling people with disabilities to live independently in their homes and communities.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 22. The races will kick off at 8 a.m. at Marilynn's Place, located at 4041 Fern Avenue.

The event also features a DJ, music, food, raffle prizes, a children's area, and the C.E. Byrd High School Color Guard.
