New Chief Technology Officer Outlines Plans for City [VIDEO]
Keith Hanson, the Shreveport's new Chief Technology Officer, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty his role in the new Perkins administration and plans to upgrade and streamline city government's digital technology.
Hanson, former president of Ruby Shore Software, tells KEEL listeners that Mayor Adrian Perkins has charged him with four main objectives. "There is universal broadband, functional IT, meaning creative a much more responsive government, personal management, actually training and making sure that (workers) skill are increasing, and then I added, and he agreed, open data (i.e., immediate government access to government information).
Hanson also details how he plans to improve city services, specifically attacking the troubles associated with the billing errors at Shreveport's Department of Water and Sewage.
