If you look at Shreveport's musical lineage, it's quite impressive. From Faron Young and Leadbelly to the Seratones and iwrestledabearonce, the quality and diversity of music to come out of this city is quite impressive. To help Shreveport learn more about its musical past and to celebrate its amazing history, there is a big musical festival happening in downtown Shreveport this weekend.

The 3rd Annual ArkLaTex Music Heritage will take over three days this weekend  (Friday through Sunday) at Downtown's Festival Plaza. The event is free to the public and will feature over 70 musical acts playing everything from gospel to blues to rock and roll.

Most of the musicians taking the stage this year are from the ArkLaTex...hailing from Shreveport-Bossier, East Texas and Southern Arkansas. You can see the full list of bands and set times below. For more information, visit the Festival's Facebook page.
