Mudbugs Hosting Final Send-Off Event For The Players

Well, if you haven’t heard the news, the Mudbugs have been eliminated from the NAHL playoffs. Now it’s time to celebrate the incredible season!

It always blows my mind to see how quickly these Mudbugs hockey seasons come and go. They are exceptionally long, lasting from September to May, but they always fly by to me. This season was an exceptional one, seeing the Mudbugs start their quest to defend the Robertson Cup championship with a brand new head coach and only a handful of returning players.

that task was daunting, surely, but that didn’t stop the resilient Bugs from piecing together a winning season that culminated in incredible playoff hockey. Unfortunately, after battling the league-best Amarillo Bulls for five game, the Mudbugs game one win short from a return to the big stage.

Now, the Mudbugs have organized a send-off party to celebrate the players as they head back home, with players going from Shreveport to literally all over the world.

The event will be held this Wednesday afternoon at 6:00 PM, in the AG Center across from George’s Pond at the Fairgrounds.
