Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover won't be making any public appearances any time soon. That's because he does, in fact, have torn quadriceps tendons from his fall at Oak Park Elementary School. But, even though an MRI has confirmed the damage, no date has been set yet for surgery. City spokesman Rod Richardson says the mayor has been cheerful -- laughing and joking with Christus Schumpert personnel. Glover, himself, says the prognosis for his recovery is good. And he says he's optimistic that he can perform the bulk of his duties electronically and by phone without compromising his health.
