For a lot of folks, today is a holiday -- a day honoring the life and accomplishments of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior. And once again, Mayor Cedric Glover wants Shreveport residents to look at it as a "day on" -- not a "day off." A number of service projects are on tap for the day, which kicks off at eight o'clock with a pep rally, of sorts, in Centenary College's Kilpatrick Auditorium.  From there, volunteers will fan out across the community to take part in a number of service projects.  The day's activities culminate with the annual Martin Luther King, Junior, observance at Galilee Baptist Church at 6:30 this evening.
