Local Attorney Pat Gilley Challenges DA Stewart Again in Caddo Parish Race

The race for District Attorney in Caddo Parish has drawn several challengers to incumbent DA James Stewart. Local attorney Pat Gilley says she wants to be the next DA for the area.

Gilley tells KEEL News we need change.

Gilley also says the District Attorney and his team need to be more proactive in bringing cases to justice.

Gilley ran against Stewart in 2020 and she's talking about many of the same things she talked about back then. She has put together a plan to improve the criminal justice system in the parish.

In that 2020 election, Gilley got more than 30,000 votes and she is hoping to convince even more people to vote for her this time.

Gilley says "it is we, the people, who must stand up and demand a progressive group of elected officials. The privileged few will not give up their power voluntarily."
