Monument Worker Arrested for Theft

A salesperson for a local monument company has been arrested for theft. The Caddo Sheriff's Office says 33-year-old Kristina Morgan of Stonewall is accused of pocketing money she received from customers between July and October 2010. During that time, Morgan turned in 16 contracts showing customers purchased monuments on a payment plan. But copies of the contracts given to the customers showed the balances paid in full. The theft was discovered when the company's owner tried to collect payment from several customers. Morgan was arrested for felony theft following an investigation by the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force.
