Missing Elderly Man Located – Safe and Sound

An elderly Shreveport man reported missing yesterday by family members has been located. Shreveport police detectives learned this morning that 82-year-old Walter Hartman is in Norman, Oklahoma, visiting his daughter. He apparently hitchhiked to the bus station downtown yesterday, then took the bus to Norman, where his daughter lives. Investigators have talked to Mr. Hartman and his daughter and he seems to be lucid and aware of his surroundings. Detectives say they don't anticipate any criminal charges to be filed.
