Mayor Tyler Submits 2016 Budget
Mayor Ollie Tyler submitted her 2016 operating budget to the Shreveport City Council on Thursday. The 491 million dollar budget focuses on public safety, infrastructure, and quality of life.
Some of the highlights of Mayor Tyler's budget are the purchase of 90 new police cars, 15 solid waste trucks and a minimum wage raise for city workers.
A full presentation of the budget will take place at the October 13th City Council Meeting. A public hearing on the budget will happen November 10th.
