Mayor to Honor Caddo Students For Academics and Leadership
Dozens of Caddo Parish high school seniors will join Mayor Cedric Glover, principals and other dignitaries at a picnic-themed luncheon Tomorrow, Friday, May 6, 2011, at the Independence Stadium Skybox on the Louisiana State Fairgrounds.
Mayor Glover is hosting the midday event to acknowledge the hard work and dedication these top students have demonstrated during their high school careers.
"These students are the best and brightest and truly represent what is good about the future of Shreveport,’’ Glover said. ``So I’m happy to be able to share this time with them, their parents, guardians and the school administrators and teachers who also have worked so hard to help them succeed."
The event includes students from public and private schools and starts at 11:30 a.m.
