Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about Saturday's vote on the three part, $186 million bond proposal.

The Mayor tells KEEL listeners that passing the bond is necessary to begin the process of rebuilding and reinvigorating the city, including construction of a new police station and four substations, the purchase of new fire trucks and badly needed road repair.

Perkins adds that if the proposal fails to pass, the city will spend more money in maintenance and repair than the $186 million in the bond for new construction.
