Perkins says this panel's work will begin in June and they will make recommendations on how to "build trust between law enforcement and the communities of color." But the Mayor says this commission will also evaluate the disparities in health outcomes exposed by COVID-19 and will explore other initiatives that can improve race relations in Shreveport.
