Bossier Parish Sheriff's Department and the Louisiana State Police have ended a manhunt that began Sunday morning and the suspect is still on the run.

The suspect was last seen at the Circle K on Brownlee Road and Airline Drive. He is described as a white male, about 5'10" with a slender build, probably in his 20's, dark hair and a little facial hair. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt and dark blue jeans. Police say his hands and face are probably cut since he broke through a plate-glass window to escape. An intruder got into a house in the Lakewood subdivision in north Bossier City, and scared the homeowner. The resident reportedly held the burglar at gunpoint and called 911, but the burglar was able to run...but he jumped through a window to getaway. A roadblock was set up in the area to try to find the guy, but when that did not produce results, deputies called in the bloodhounds and began searching the area. The dogs caught the guys scent near the Swan Lake subdivision.
Police don't think the man is armed, but are still warning residents to remain cautious.
