Man Shot Outside a Shreveport Store Identified
Early in the evening around 7:58 PM on Sunday, September 1st, shots rang out at a convenience store on East Stoner Avenue.
A man was found at the A-1 gas station by police after having been shot multiple times. The then unidentified man was rushed to Ochsner LSU Health where he was pronounced dead.
The victim has now been identified by fingerprints as Sherman E. Rambo Jr., 42, of the 1100 block of Pecan Street. Police say he was more than likely a victim of mistaken identity, or an innocent bystander in the shooting. The Coroner will be performing an autopsy on Rambo.
Police, however are still looking for suspects. One person was detained as a suspect not long after the crime had taken place but, no arrests have been made in the slaying. The investigation is ongoing.
Any one with any helpful information in the case, is being urged to notify Shreveport law enforcement.
