Shreveport police have cited a local man -- after he allegedly filed a false police report. Police were called out to a reported carjacking at about 2 this morning near the intersection of East Kings and Chalmette Drive. There, 32-year-old Jason Robertson told them he was driving home, when he saw a male walking on East Kings. He said he stopped to see if the man needed help, when the suspect hit him in the face and took his vehicle. Officers found the car on Jewella Avenue a short time later, and two men were inside. That's when they discovered that Robertson had loaned the two men his vehicle, and had not, in fact, been robbed of it. He was given a misdemeanor summons for one count of criminal mischief.
