Shreveport's Loyola College Prep will be holding their annual open house for parent and prospective students on Thursday, November 30, from 3:30 til 6pm.

According to Stephanie Johnson, the school's Academic Assistant Principal, "the school will be running continuous, student led tours, so everyone is welcome to come any time during those hours."

Visitors to the Jordan Street campus will see classrooms and meet with teachers in a variety of disciplines, including Mathematics, English and Social Studies, as well as Foreign Languages, Drama and Theater.

Johnson also points out that LCP is Shreveport's oldest, continually operating high school, founded in 1902 as St. John's College. Founded and operated by the Jesuit order, the school changed its name to Jesuit High School in 1960, then to Loyola College Prep (in honor of Society of Jesus founder St. Ignatius Loyola) in 1982.

Johnson adds that, at Loyola, "a students road to college begins in the 9th grade" and that the school has two, full-time college counselors on the faculty, to help Loyola students "through the entire college admission process."
