Vandebilt Catholic scored in the 97th minute to give the New Orleans school their second straight D-III girls soccer state championship, a 2-1 overtime victory over Shreveport's Loyola Flyers Wednesday night in the Crescent City.

The winning goal was scored by Vandebilt senior Grace Champagne, who was named the title game's MVP.

Vandebilt, the playoff's #1 seed took an early lead, scoring against the visitors in the game's opening minute. But the second-seeded Flyers tied the game late in the first half.

After a scoreless second half the game went to OT, with Champagne scoring  the championship winning goal seven minutes into the extra period.
