Joshua Ledet, currently a Top 4 contestant in FOX’s American Idol, is scheduled to come to Louisiana this Saturday, May 12 for a Homecoming Pep Rally if he continues as a Top 3 finalist.

American Idol has confirmed today a basic schedule of events for Ledet’s homecoming. On Saturday, May 12, at 2:30 p.m., Ledet will ride in a parade on Sampson Street in Westlake.  The parade will be staged by American Idol and a local committee.

The community is invited to see the parade and cheer Ledet on as he rides through his hometown.  Parade viewers are strongly encouraged to bring posters and signage to wish Joshua good luck and let him know how proud his hometown is of his accomplishments.

After the parade, the public is invited to the Burton Coliseum, located at 7001 Gulf Highway in Lake Charles, La., for Joshua Ledet’s Homecoming Pep Rally at 6 p.m.  The pep rally will feature live entertainment and several songs by Ledet.  Pep rally attendees are encouraged to bring posters and signage to support Joshua.

It is possible that Ledet will have a special appearance at the Contraband Days, Louisiana Pirate Festival, following the pep rally prior to the fireworks at the Lake Charles Civic Center, located at 900 Lakeshore Drive.

The public is encouraged to vote for Ledet on Wednesday, May 9, after he performs to keep him in the running.
