Locals Helping with Flood Relief in Texas
While Texas non-profits are struggling to keep up with the devestation from Hurricane Harvey, many locals are in the area helping out.
The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana, Operation BBQ Relief and others are in Texas to help assist victims of Hurricane Harvey. The groups have set up emergency canteens to help feed those displaced by the massive storm.
We are also getting reports that Southwood High School is collecting water, diapers, personal toiletries, undergarments, etc. this week. Anyone can drive it up to the school or call the for pick up.
The Red Cross of Louisiana is staying close to home since we are expecting some strong storms in the area.
If you would like to help, visit Operation BBQ Relief, NWLA Food Bank, and Red Cross websites.
