A volunteer from the American Red Cross' local office flies out to Denver, Colorado, this morning to head to areas affected by wildfires.

Lisamarie Griffin of Bossier City will serve as a Client Caseworker for thousands of displaced families.

Griffin will assist them with disaster-related needs on a person-by-person basis. This is the fourth disaster relief effort Griffin has been involved with this year. The Red Cross says others may be sent over the next few days if needed.

In the latest wildfire news, many Waldo Canyon fire evacuees got the OK to head back home on Friday.
