Local Organized Crime Network Takes Another Hit

A Tri-Parish drug task force, made up of narcotics investigators from DeSoto, Sabine and Red River Parishes, made another round of arrests Thursday evening in the Mansfield area.

The task force is cracking down on a suspected homegrown organized crime network and arrested 7 people on various drug and conspiracy charges including possession with intent distribute crack cocaine.

Back on March 2nd, the task force rounded up 20 people on similar charges. Sheriff Rodney Arbuckle says a turf war over drug sales inspired the recent roundups.

Here is the list of people arrested:

• Tyquario Derell Adams, 25
• Johnny Leroy Adams Jr., 26
• Antonio Tawarn Robertson, 35
• Makeith Ladale Robertson, 32
• Terrance D. Woods, 41
• Ashton Bernard Shelton, 25
• Amanda Marie Garner, 32.

A press conference on the arrests will be held some time next week.
