A local man already in jail in connection with injuries his three-month-old son suffered this week has also been charged in another case. Shreveport investigators have found that in February of 2007, 27-year-old Kenneth Willis had a one-month-old son who died after being taken to LSU Hospital with susupcious injuries. It was later determined that the child died as a result of head injuries and multiple fractured. The results of that investigation were turned over to the Caddo District Attorney's Office...but officials there didn't believe there was enough evidence to move forward with an arrest. When detectives learned the injuries Willis' three-month-old suffered earlier this week weren't consistent with any kind of accidental fall, they took Willis into custody and charged him with one count of second-degree cruelty to a juvenile. The baby is currently in critical condition and on life support at LSU Hospital. Following interviews with Willis, they also charged him with one count of second-degree murder in the death of the one-month-old.

In addition, 30-year-old Teka Keller was arrested. She's the owner of a local daycare who reported the three-month-old had suspicious injuries. But because she waited more than eight hours to report them, she was issued a summons and released.
