"Who died the year you were born?" That's a question that haunted Suzanne Peyton for years. Now, she knows the answer.

In her book 'Virginia's Diary,' Peyton talks about her past life experience. If you don't believe in such things, don't discount them just yet. Peyton told me she didn't want to believe it herself.

"I'm a Christian, and the only explanation is...it's a past-life experience for me," she said. "And I was the biggest one having the hardest time with that aspect of it, until I decided to tell the story."

It all started with a dream she had on January 3, 1999. At the end of it, she looks into a mirror and sees the face of a woman that was not her. As it turns out, it's the face of her great-grandmother, Virginia Avery. While researching the woman's background, she uncovers many similarities to her own life, and a web of lies that surrounded Virginia's.

I got a chance to read the book, and it didn't take me an entire day to do it. It was riveting! I broke out in goose bumps on numerous occasions. And if stories like this are your cup of tea, you'll be happy to know the book is being made into a major motion picture.

"About, oh, four years ago I guess it's been, I decided it would make a killer movie," Peyton said. "So I got the software for the screenplay, have never done it before, did the screenplay, and got it to Arlena Acree. She was head of the film division over here and I was living in Texas at the time, so it was a lot closer than L.A."

She said when Acree finally read the screenplay, she was quite impressed with it. That's when producers started showing a lot of interest.

"I was offered a-million dollars last year by a group down in New Orleans to just give it to them and walk away, and I turned them down, because I know how big this is gonna be," she said. "And sure enough, we've got a producer now that wants to put up $30-million behind it and make the film here, and then we've got other people wanting to get involved. It's been massive."

Peyton said she's finalizing the details now, working on getting the right screenplay-writer on board and get the actors cast. There's one big name already showing interest.

"Bill Paxton called me in March of this year and he was floored. He had gotten ahold of the script and he read it, and he said he didn't have any doubt in his mind that the top stars in Hollywood would jump all over this."

The film is in pre-production now, and Peyton doesn't expect the title to change once all the details are worked out. We will definitely keep you posted on how it's all going.

By the way, Suzanne will be signing copies of her book at Barnes & Noble Saturday, September 19, from 4-6PM.
