Shreveport City Councilwoman LeVette Fuller talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about Monday's council work session, where members debated how to best organize and enforce time limits on public comments.

More details from KEEL News:

"Coincilwoman LeVette Fuller is proposing a change to the Shreveport City Council rules of procedure. The first term councilwoman wants special meetings for any awards ceremonies honoring special guests. The council and Mayor Adrian Perkins generally honor grouped or individuals at the start of council meetings. Councilman Reverend James green stated he is not at all on board with the idea. Councilman John Nickelson says he would support changing the rules pertaining to time limits for public comments at the council meetings."

Fuller also addresses her plan to reintroduce legislation proposed by earlier this year by John Nickelson. That idea would limit the mayor's authority to sign off on city contracts without council approval at $500,000.
